Device Socket Modules Header

Socket modules are the mechanical and electrical interface between the device and the programmer. The robust design of our socket modules is ideal for manufacturing and design environments where high signal integrity and reliable performance are critical. Unlike other so-called "adapters" that just hold the device, the sophisticated technology of our circuitry eliminates noise, ground bounce, and overshoot; and allows for the most reliable vector testing available. In addition, active circuitry enables us to support multiple devices and manufacturers on most socket modules.

With over 2,500 socket modules available today, chances are we may already support your device programming requirements. New socket module designs are continuously added and can be developed quickly to meet your programming needs. From high-fidelity signal integrity and robust design, to upward compatibility with later generation programming technology, our socket modules provide you with the best combination of programming quality and cost of ownership.

ISP-PRO-Family-Page-3Q If you are interested in an In-System programming solution, please contact Customer Service now. You will speak to a representative to answer a few questions regarding your support needs. A new device request will need to be submitted so that our Device Support Engineers can begin reviewing the request. A quote will then be generated and emailed to you with the required fees and an estimated lead-time to support the ISP algorithm.

FX4 SM Header
FX4 Socket Module The new FX4 socket modules are specifically designed for the 7th Generation series of programmers. FX4 socket modules program up to four devices simultaneously on just one programming site and enable users to achieve greater productivity and reliability. The independent socket daughter card design improves programming up-time and lowers operating cost because each socket can be replaced individually. FX4 socket modules are offered in both manual and automated models.

FX SM Blue family sub header
FX Socket Module FX socket modules offer improved programming speed over standard socket modules. Ideal for the programming of flash memory devices, FX modules are supported on both 6th and 7th Generation model programmers. Many FX modules are designed with a replaceable socket daughter card. This design feature extends the life of the socket module and improves signal integrity to the device. Presently we offer hundreds of manual and automated FX socket modules in support of a variety of packages and devices.

Automated Socket Module Automated socket modules are offered for a wide variety of package types including CSP, TSOP, DIP and MLF, to name a few. They are available in FX4, FX, and Standard models and can be used on the compatible 3000 and 4000 series automated programming systems. We also offer High Insertion Count (HIC) modules which allow customers to achieve very low operating cost per insertion. When available, BPM Microsystems always develops the automated socket module solution for device support additions.

Adaptive Socket Modules sub header
Adaptive Socket Module The SM84UP can program over 2,600 devices through the use of templates. Templates for 20,28,32,44,52,68, and 84-pin devices are included with each SM84UP. This adaptive approach provides for a very flexible and economic programming solution when compared to common adapters.
